Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 June 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StudentGo, including the website, student and driver portals, and official mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, submitting a driver application, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated as a booking and operations platform for your transport operator. The operator — not StudentGo alone — schedules routes, sets fares, approves drivers, and resolves support matters.

2. Description of the service

StudentGo connects university students with scheduled transport on operator-defined routes. Students can search trips, book seats, pay through enabled methods, receive QR boarding passes, and track active trips. Approved drivers receive trip assignments, navigate stops, verify boarding, and view earnings summaries.

StudentGo is not a public taxi or ride-hailing marketplace. Trips, prices, capacity, and service areas are configured by the operator. The platform does not guarantee availability of trips on every route or date.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. Each person must maintain their own account — bookings and QR boarding passes are personal and non-transferable.

Students must complete a profile with valid university, campus, and pickup details. Inaccurate profiles may result in empty search results or missed pickups.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. Notify your operator immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Accounts may be set to inactive or suspended by the operator for policy violations or safety reasons.

4. Student registration & profile

To register as a student you must provide: name, phone number, password, university, campus, home city/area, and pickup details (including map coordinates for home pickup when applicable).

You may update university, campus, city, and pickup information from your profile. Name updates are available through the mobile app. Phone number changes require operator assistance.

Pickup locations must fall within the service region and selected area boundaries configured by the operator.

5. Driver applications

Driver registration requires: name, phone, password, primary work area, vehicle type, seat count, licence plate, preferred lines, and available time windows.

All driver applications are reviewed by the operator. Until approved, you cannot log in as an active driver or accept trips. The operator may approve, reject, or deactivate drivers at any time for operational or safety reasons.

Drivers must provide truthful vehicle information and maintain roadworthy, properly licensed vehicles as required by local law.

6. Booking rules

Bookings are subject to seat availability on operator-scheduled trips. You may hold up to 14 active bookings (confirmed or boarded) at one time. Only one booking per student per trip is allowed.

When you book, you receive a unique boarding code and QR pass. Fares are set by the operator per route and shown before you confirm. By confirming, you commit to the selected payment method and trip time.

Bulk booking across multiple university days is supported through the trip search wizard when the operator offers matching trips.

7. Cancellation policy

You may cancel free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure time (based on the service region time zone). Early cancellation releases your seat and, where applicable, refunds wallet payments or restores package rides according to operator rules.

Cancellations within 2 hours of departure are treated as late cancellations: your seat remains blocked, no refund is issued for wallet or package payments, and you may still be subject to no-show rules if you do not board.

The operator or platform may cancel trips for operational reasons; non-cash payments are typically refunded when a trip is cancelled by the operator.

8. No-show policy

A no-show occurs when you have a confirmed booking but do not board and the driver completes the trip leg without you.

If you accumulate 3 no-shows within a rolling 30-day window, new bookings may be blocked until the operator reviews and resets your account.

To avoid a no-show, cancel in time if your plans change. At pickup, be ready when the driver marks arrival; boarding is verified via QR scan or driver confirmation within the platform’s waiting window (approximately 3 minutes after arrival is recorded).

The operator may reset no-show counters after review.

9. Payment terms

Available payment methods depend on operator configuration and may include:

• Cash — paid directly to the driver when you board; recorded in the platform upon boarding confirmation • Wallet — prepaid balance deducted at booking; top-ups via operator credit or enabled online methods • Ride packages — bundled rides deducted per booking; packages have defined ride counts and validity periods • Online payment (e.g. Whish Money, Sofort Pay) — when enabled by the operator; subject to provider terms

All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Drivers do not set their own fares. Students paying cash must pay the displayed trip price unless the operator communicates a different approved rate.

Failed or abandoned online payments do not create confirmed bookings.

10. QR boarding & conduct on board

You must present your personal QR boarding pass from the app when boarding. Drivers scan or verify the code to confirm your seat. Sharing, duplicating, or using another person’s boarding pass is prohibited.

Drivers may only board passengers whose booking matches the active trip and stop. Boarding before the driver marks arrival or after the waiting window may be rejected by the system.

Treat drivers and fellow passengers respectfully. The operator may suspend accounts for abusive behaviour or safety violations.

11. Wallet, packages & refunds

Wallet balances are not bank deposits and have no cash value outside the Service. Package rides expire according to template rules set by the operator (for example 30-day validity).

Refunds for early cancellations return funds to wallet or restore package rides. Late cancellations and no-shows do not qualify for refunds. Cash payments are settled with the driver at boarding and are not automatically refunded through the platform.

Disputes about payment or refunds should be raised through in-app Support.

12. Driver terms

Approved drivers agree to:

• Operate only trips assigned by the operator • Start and end trips honestly in the app • Share live location only while a trip is in progress • Scan or verify each passenger’s QR code at boarding • Collect cash fares from students where applicable and remit operator commissions • Mark passenger no-shows only in good faith after proper arrival and waiting procedures

Commission amounts are defined per route/trip by the operator (default reference: $0.25 per boarded seat unless configured otherwise). Drivers are responsible for their own vehicle insurance, licences, and compliance with traffic laws.

13. Live tracking & notifications

During an active trip, students may view driver location for their booking. Drivers receive stop lists with student names, phone numbers, and pickup coordinates necessary for service.

The Service sends in-app notifications about bookings, cancellations, arrivals, and account events. Push, SMS, and email are not guaranteed unless separately provided by your operator.

You are responsible for keeping the app accessible and notifications enabled if you rely on them for pickup timing.

14. Support & complaints

Students may submit support messages (minimum 10 characters) through the Support section, optionally linked to a booking. The operator reviews and resolves complaints through the platform.

Response times are determined by the operator, not guaranteed by StudentGo. For urgent safety issues, contact local emergency services first, then notify your operator.

15. Prohibited use

You may not:

• Provide false identity, vehicle, or pickup information • Circumvent booking limits, no-show blocks, or payment rules • Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service • Harass drivers, students, or staff • Reverse-engineer, attack, or disrupt platform security • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Violations may result in suspension, booking blocks, or referral to authorities.

16. Service availability & changes

We may update features, interfaces, or these Terms with reasonable notice where practicable. Routes, schedules, and payment methods may change at the operator’s discretion.

The Service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free routing, or that every search will return trips.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StudentGo and the operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including missed classes, lost wages, or vehicle delays.

Transport is provided by independent drivers under operator oversight. StudentGo is a technology platform; physical safety, road conditions, and vehicle maintenance remain the responsibility of drivers and the operator.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

18. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are interpreted according to the laws applicable in the service region where your operator deploys the platform (for example Lebanon for Lebanon deployments). Trip times and cancellation windows use the configured region time zone (e.g. Asia/Beirut).

Disputes should first be raised through in-app Support. If unresolved, they may be referred to the competent courts or arbitration mechanisms in your operator’s jurisdiction as required by local law.
